WHO WE ARE

“The believers, in their mutual love, mercy, and compassion, are like one body. When one part of the body suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever.”

~ Sahih Bukhari.

The Nigerian Canadian Muslim Association of Windsor (NCMSW) is a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and compassionate Islamic community. Our mission is to cultivate a supportive environment that provides a comprehensive array of religious, economic, and social services to not only the Nigerian residents of Windsor but also to individuals from diverse backgrounds who share our values.

We embrace diversity and inclusion, offering a wide range of services from religious education to economic assistance, all aimed at promoting a thriving community where everyone feels valued and empowered.

Through charitable endeavours and collaborations with other organizations, we strive to address social issues and advocate for positive change, guided by the principles of compassion, integrity, and unity. OUR HISTORY
The Nigerian Canadian Muslim Society Windsor has a humble and inspiring history. Established in 2014, our community began with just three families who gathered in members' homes for our bi-weekly Halaqa. These early gatherings were intimate and personal, allowing us to bond closely over shared faith and community values. As word spread and more families joined, our small group steadily expanded.

Recognizing the need for a more formal structure, we incorporated the association in January 2018, marking a significant milestone in our journey. This incorporation helped us better organize and serve our growing membership. Our commitment to fostering unity, faith, and connection among Nigerian Canadian Muslims in Windsor has driven our continuous growth.

Today, we are proud to have grown so significantly that we now have our very own centre. This centre serves as a vibrant hub for our community, hosting a wide range of events, educational programs, and social activities. From our humble beginnings in living rooms to owning a dedicated space, our journey reflects the strength and resilience of our community. We continue to welcome new members and strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
